The Halal Tourism in Spain arrives at FITUR brought by the Halal Institute and Innova Taxfree Group

The Halal Institute and Innova TaxFree present in Fitur the first Halal tourism platform in Spain

The Halal Institute, main certifier organization in Spain, and Innova TaxFree Group, the lead independent firm in Europe, provider of tax-free services for tourists, will present in Fitur Halal International Tourism (HIT), the first platform to promote the Halal tourism in Spain.

On January the 22nd,, the first Halal Tourism conference will be held at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, which will have the title: “Halal Tourism: An opportunity for Spain?”. The event, which is organized by the Halal Institute and Innova TaxFree, will take place at 10 a.m at IFEMA, in the hall N 110 in the northern conventions centre.

There will be shown the business opportunities that the Halal Tourism market offers to this sector’s Spanish firms, the main tendencies and the importance of the Halal certification as a stamp of guarantee to offer a quality service to the Muslim tourist.

Moreover, the Halal International Tourism (HIT) platform, which was created by the Halal Institute and Innova TaxFree to promote the Halal tourism in Spain and in other countries, will be officially presented. The HIT will provide information about the Halal touristic offer in Spain; It will provide the knowledge and necessary means to exploit the business opportunities that the Halal Tourism offers; and it will develop commercial and marketing activities to promote the Halal tourism.

The opening will be taken in charge by Ana Larrañaga, director of FITUR, with the latter interventions of Isabel Romero, general director of the Halal Institute, Antonio Santos, the director of Tourism in Innova TaxFree, Tomas Guerrero, general director of Halal International Tourism; Victor Benitez, muslim markets manager at Value Retail; Paco Morales, chef at the Restaurant Noor, and Fernando Portal, director of the Alanda Hotel.

The Halal Tourism industry is growing very fast. It is expected that the total amount spent will reach 233 billion dollars in 2020 and represent more than 13% of the world expense in tourism. In Spain, the perspectives are specially attractive, since it possesses all the necessary elements to become one of the main Halal touristic destinations in the world, such as the andalusi patrimony, a rich and varied gastronomy, wonderful touristic infrastructures or an exceptional climate.
